Are you our next Sr. HRIS Analyst?  

 

Provides Human Resources Information System (HRIS) support to Human Resources staff.  Coordinates the development and maintenance of the HRIS database, HRIS-related analytics, and systems-related processes.  Monitors system processing and tracks department administrative activity to ensure data integrity.  Oversees daily HRIS operations for internal control purposes.  Coordinates the mechanics of system processing, tracking of confidential information, and related PeopleSoft forms.  Develops and maintains query reports for user groups.  Collaborates with IT staff on system issues and problem resolution.  Coordinates system enhancements and modifications on the end user side.  Assists with PeopleSoft implementation issues and works with other HRIS staff on daily operational issues.  Functions as a department resource on PeopleSoft system training.

Responsibilities

TriWest Sr. HRIS Analyst: 

 

  • Coordinates the development and maintenance of HRIS database, HRIS-related analytics, HRIS systems-related processes, and system enhancements.
  • Functions in the primary interface role with Information Technology staff on PeopleSoft issues and problem resolution. Coordinates external PeopleSoft communications on database issues with PeopleSoft consultants, third party administrators, benefit vendors, and TriWest IT staff.
  • Collaborates with Information Technology (IT) technical staff on system issues and modifications. Translates user needs and communicates Human Resources functional requirements.  Assists IT staff with ongoing Oracle system patches and bundles and tax updates.  Tests patches and bundles before IT staff puts in production.  Validates PeopleSoft functionality after the patches and bundles are applied.
  • Collaborates with Compensation and Benefits on system tables and codes. Assists with data integrity for annual salary review process and annual benefits enrollment process.   Audits PeopleSoft functionality when system tables are updated.  Creates new fields of data as required.
  • Assists Human Resources staff with PeopleSoft processing problems before Help Desk support. Interprets error messages, tries to re-create problem to troubleshoot issues (e.g. missing field or unclear error messages), analyses solution, and resolves or opens a Help Desk ticket. 
  • Creates internal controls to ensure data integrity of PeopleSoft data. Notifies IT staff of system issues requiring appropriate, prompt resolution.
  • Monitors PeopleSoft system regularly to ensure data integrity by auditing data to ensure overall accuracy on employee pay, benefit data, new hire and position transfer activity, and position history.
  • Supports the Payroll group with end-of-cycle work. Functions on-call after hours until close of payroll to assist with compensation, benefit, and employee data errors, benefit data, and employee data.
  • Notifies users of process changes and communicates PeopleSoft issues, trends, and new requirements to IT technical staff and PeopleSoft consultants.
  • Conducts analysis and research on HRIS database issues, including salary history, benefit records, position history, employment data, annual merit increase process, and bonus activity.
  • Prepares regular and ad hoc reports and statistics from system. Works with users to modify reports as data requirements change.
  • Takes active steps to develop and maintain expert-level working knowledge of PeopleSoft systems to optimize functionality and understand system constraints.
  • Provides coverage for daily HRIS data entry function, including participating on complex data entry processes for system changes.
  • Assists line managers with interpreting and correcting PeopleSoft data issues associated with individual staff data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications

Are you qualified? 

 

Required

  • Associates degree in Business or Information Technology or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years HRIS experience such as  PeopleSoft or similar systems
  • 5 years’ experience with data analysis and data management , working in an HR troubleshooting role for HRIS issues
  • Proficient with software applications, spreadsheet applications, and excel.
  • Project management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in a corporate Human Resources department
  • Experience with SQL applications
