TriWest Manager, Benefits & Wellness: 

  • Manages and administers multi-group employee benefits, 401(k) plans, workers' compensation, and leave programs for a multi-state, multi-facility organization.
  • Supervises the administration of benefits to include maintenance of benefits records, monthly billing and budgeting.  Provides direction and guidance to staff members.
  • Leads, manages and develops benefits team.
  • Develops, implements, plans and recommends strategies for the health and welfare, retirement, and wellness plans which support short and long range business objectives.
  • Oversees the administration of the 401(k) plan. Ensures plan documents and procedures are up to date. Participates in quarterly 401(K) committee meetings. Manages employee education.
  • Oversee the wellness program. Leads vendor coordination, employee communication and employee participation and engagement. Audits benefit plans for compliance with government regulations. Partners with in-house counsel to ensure compliance with all state and local benefit requirements. Ensures effective benefit communications; works cooperatively with internal communications team in the production of all benefit related communication.
  • Manages the STD/LTD, FMLA and, Military Leave of Absence programs in conjunction with our human capital generalist team. Oversee the management of requests for ADA Accommodation and maintenance of ADA records. Leads and guides the human capital team in ensuring compliance with all leave programs as well as manage individual cases.
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of workers' compensation programs that minimize the number of job related injuries and illnesses. Educates employees and managers on Return to Work Programs.
  • Acts as a liaison with carriers, vendors, and consultants on various matters such as plan design, contracts, compliance, eligibility and renewals.
  • Leads the annual open enrollment process to include renewals, cost analysis, managing changes, communication and implementations. Coordinates and collaborates with key team members in the process.
  • Oversees payment of all carrier premiums, claims, and administrative fees.
  • Assures all company-sponsored plans, including their design and changes thereto, are in compliance with all relevant legal requirements and ERISA reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements new company benefits which provide value to employees, are cost effective, and meet defined objectives.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required


Are you qualified?  

  • Are you a Veteran, family member of a Veteran, a friend of a Veteran, or passionate about helping Veterans?
  • Do you have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience? 
  • How about 5+ years management experience in health and welfare plan administration?
