    If you enjoy driving the design and implementation of IT solutions in support of business processes, functioning as lead in the design, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and support of in-house applications and customization of vendor-supplied applications, developing and supporting multiple-system interfaces and integration, we have a position for you.

    Responsibilities

    TriWest Lead Web Developer

    Leads a technical development team responsible for web development for various functional areas related to providing healthcare. Understands and defines the information systems requirements to meet business requirements.

    • Codes, unit tests, debugs, documents and implements software applications. Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of broad scope and very high complexity, requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
    • Creates application systems and components for business intranet, extranet, and internet customers
    • Acts as a mentor to more junior developers, and frequently directs their activities as part of a specific project. Will work closely with the web development anager to determine project resourcing and tasking. Plans and coordinates team efforts and carries out plans with minimal supervision
    • Facilitates planning, tracking and scheduling of software deliverables.
    • Facilities critical situation problem resolution impacting IT performance and business operational performance.
    • Evaluates and recommends tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality software product platform.
    • Communicates with technical peers for the resolution of infrastructure issues. Acts as an expert in the web development and the TriWest internet/intranet development environment.
    • Coordinates the planning, organization, and direction of activities related to applications software.
    • Provides daily support to functional end-users with system issues and processes. Takes active steps to increase understanding of end-users functions to support applications development process. Recommends process changes to optimize system functionality.
    • Researches the setup and functionality of supported modules to ensure optimal functionality for end-users.
    • Functions as Subject Matter Expert for application and system design specifications. Investigates and recommends new tools and applications to better support end-user needs.
    • Coordinates the work outcomes of external consultants.
    • Analyses, reviews and rewrites programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt program to new requirements. Performs complex coding assignments. Converts logical design into program code.
    • Evaluates and tests vendor-supplied software packages. Determines compatibility with existing systems. Provides technical support and trouble-shooting for vendor software. Installs and tests vendor upgrades and patches.
    • Communicates with end-users and other IT staff on application upgrades, fixes and new processes, and impact of system changes on existing modules.
    • Develops system and program test plans, including obtaining test data, conducting program and system testing, and evaluating test results. Debugs systems and programs.
    • Develops documentation defining application development process, including technical reports, communications, and instructional manuals. Maintains system design documents and program documentation. Writes instructions to guide IT operations staff with on-line production runs.
    • Logs, monitors, and manages event calls regarding reported system issues.
    • Analyzes, develops and supports multiple-system interfaces and data integration.
    • Regular and reliable attendance is required

    Qualifications

    Are you qualified?

    • Are you a Veteran, family member of a Veteran, a friend of a Veteran, or passionate about helping Veterans?
    • Do you have a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field with courses in programming and database systems?
    • How about 7+ years experience supporting applications related to healthcare and/or a call center environment?
    • Do you have 4+ years experience leading development teams?
    • Do you have 5+ Experience with object oriented development, web application development, security and open source technologies. (.Net Core, web API, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap and Angul?
    • What about experience communicating with both technical and business audiences?
    • Are you experienced in programming and query writing in a Microsoft SQL environment?
