Job Summary
Provides crisis intervention counseling and referral services for DSPO beneficiaries and other eligible beneficiaries through the 24-hour Behavioral Health crisis line. Conducts telephone triage for crisis calls and provides appropriate documentation for those calls.
Key Responsibilities
o Assesses the nature of calls to determine crisis severity.o Intervenes in crises to facilitate availability of appropriate service.
o Locates appropriate service and links caller with the service
o Ensures that appropriate documentation is available for follow-up.
o Identifies and refers potential quality issues and fraud and abuse cases.
o Willing and able to perform other duties as assigned.
o Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Education & Experience
Required:
o Registered Nurse or LCSW, LPC, or LMFT with a current unrestricted license to practice independently from a licensing agencyo 3+ years Behavioral Health clinical practice
2+ years military health care experience
Preferred:
o Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field
o Experience with Military and/or Veteranso Experience on a 24/7 crisis line
o Prior military service
